At the beginning of the cold season I was ready to fire up my boiler in Terrell, TX.
I hit the on button and nothing happened.
I then proceed to panic. I immediately got on the phone with a Terrell, TX furance repair business. Something sizablely went wrong with my heater. Not turning on was a sizable deal. The rep on the phone was super nice and tried to calm me down. She had me substitute the batteries in my remote, scrub the air filter, and try again. No dice. It was a sizable repair, I could feel it. When the Terrell boiler repairman came over I was ready for a super high bill. The girl checked all the inner laborings and found only a little bit of dust. She looked at the ductwork and found something wrong. Then she went to my thermostat. The repair wasn’t my boiler after all. It was just a thermostat error. Thankfully my boiler repair business is a jack of all trades. They repair all makes and models of heating component and they do thermostats. The thermostat was repaired in a jiff, the boiler was inspected, and my end bill wasn’t too terrible at all. I was super glad the boiler was in superb laboring order. I know there are some repairs that end up being almost as much as the entire system. Nobody is financially ready and enthusiastic to buy a completely new heating system out of the red. Thermostat trouble is always a lucky break. It is much cheaper to fully substitute.
